    V8SONLINE in conjunction with Cut Price Racing present the newest addition to the V8SONLINE broadcast family, the Cut Price Racing MX-5 Sprint Challenge.

    Running sprint races each week, with a pre-qualifying element, this series is sure to be a fun, entertaining and hard fought championship.

    Over 14 of the next 15 weeks, drivers will run at some of the most enjoyable, interesting and challenging tracks iRacing has to offer.

    Round 1 will commence Thursday 14th September, with the final round on the 21th of December. (NOTE – There is no race 21st September due to other commitments for V8SONLINE)

    All races will be approx 40 mins in length (will be time restricted to 45 mins) and will also be run using a fixed setup. (Will likely be slightly modified from the iRacing Baseline)

    The series schedule will be as follows

    14/9 – Round 1 – Bathurst, 16 Laps
    28/9 – Round 2 – Summit Point (Full Course), 31 Laps
    5/10 – Round 3 – Watkins Glen (Cup), 28 Laps
    12/10 – Round 4 – Zolder (GP Course), 23 Laps
    19/10 – Round 5 – Phillip Island, 23 Laps
    26/10 – Round 6 – Snetterton (300), 20 Laps
    2/11 – Round 7 – Circuit Gilles-Villenuve, 21 Laps
    9/11 – Round 8 – Road Atlanta, 26 Laps
    16/11 – Round 9 – Oulton Park (International), 24 Laps
    23/11 – Round 10 – Oran Park (Full Course), 31 Laps
    30/11 – Round 11 – Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, 26 Laps
    7/12 – Round 12 – Silverstone (National), 37 Laps
    14/12 – Round 13 – Sebring (Club Circuit), 33 Laps
    21/12 – Round 14 – Brands Hatch (GP Course), 25 Laps

    There will be 4 drop rounds available to drivers

    The “Broadcast” Split will comprise of up to the top 40 drivers. Will split depending how many drivers enter pre-qualifying.

    If there is 41 to 50 drivers, there will be 30 in the broadcast split, with the remaining in the “2nd Split”. Between 51 and 60, there will be 20 in 2nd split, with the remaining to be entered in top split. Over 60, then the Top 40 make the Broadcast split with the remaining cars split evenly into additional splits (in the event of over 80 drivers total, there will be 3 splits, with the 2nd/3rd splits having at least 20 entrants)

    To make the races, you must participate in the pre-qualifying on the night and post a lap time.

    The nights events will be as follows

    7:00pm AEST – Track Opens (Practice)
    7:20pm AEST – Qualifying Commences (1 hour)

    8:30pm AEST – Race Servers launch (Broadcast commences)
    8:40pm AEST – Races Commence
    9:25pm AEST – Races Conclude

    When Daylight Savings starts, all times will be pushed back THIRTY (30) minutes AEST

    All races will be broadcast by the team at V8SONLINE. There will be no in Race Stewards, standard iRacing code must be adhered to. There is an incident limit of 20 per race meeting (will be reviewed during the series)

    Driving Standards will be reviewed post race, with the option for penalties/suspensions to be given if required

    Points will be allocated as below

    1st position in 2nd split will be classified as the next position behind the final classified driver in 1st split. After 60th, points will continue to drop by 2 points until position 100, then by 1 point.

    Drivers must complete 75% of the race distance to be awarded points (there is 1 quick repair available)

    There will be a Cut Price Racing Windscreen Banner decal layer added from the broadcast end for all cars.
