Awesome racing by all involved with everyone showing a huge improvement in speed and racecraft from the previous session. Give yourselves a big pat on the back for a sensational race!
Props to Scott Hoffman for a very consistent run, taking out the race by nearly a minute on Jup Kruger who set a very quick laptime of 59:756 in the practice session and was penalised significantly for a jump start. Had it not have been for the black flag from that unfortunate event it’s likely Jup would have taken the win. Watch out for Jup next race, it’s likely you’ll be battling with him for the lead.
Michael Farrell showed some real promise as the dark horse outsider with by far the least amount of incidents in the 1+ hour practice session but faded into the final minutes due to a little too much drinking action the night before. An unfortunate incident in the race denied him of a much better finishing position. There’s always next time though!
Joshua Pamment struggled with the new 2017 MX5 physics but we’re sure he’ll be on fire next race – certainly one of the people to watch next race.
Toney Ang improved significantly in practice but might find it wise to leave his work boots at home next time. We’ll be tutoring Toney prior to the next race so don’t write him off yet – if you’re not on your game, Toney might just be the guy passing you down the main straight next race!
